Vendor scorecards and SLA reports from your own transaction data

Most vendor scorecards are spreadsheets someone fills in. Ops Insights builds them from the timestamps already in your system: it measures the turn time between any two points in your workflow, compares it with your benchmark and turns the result into a scorecard.

How SLA reporting works

  • Pick the start and end points, such as order received and abstract returned
  • Set the benchmark for that step
  • See the percentage of files that met it, the files completed and the files still in progress
  • Drill down to the files that missed
  • Use the same scorecard for vendors, teams or individual employees

Report names in the library read the way you'd expect: “Abstracting SLA – Completed Files – Percentage Met”, “Abstracting SLA – Files In Progress”, “CD Prep SLA – Completed Files Report”.

Hold vendors accountable, with their own copy

Scorecards work best when the vendor sees the same numbers you do.
  • Vendor access

Give a vendor an external login that shows only its own scorecard and files, or email it the scorecard on a schedule.
  • Built-in vendor roles

Templated roles for abstractors, notaries, contract attorneys and document prep vendors are in the library.
  • Licenses and insurance

Track vendor license and insurance expiration dates alongside performance. Compliance monitoring

SLA steps in a title agency

The library tracks each step of a title file. Other industries define their own.
  • Abstract tracking
  • Title exam
  • Commitment typing
  • Scheduling
  • Closing Disclosure turn time
  • Disbursement tracking
  • Recording tracking
  • Policy tracking
  • Post closing

Questions about vendor scorecards

What is a vendor scorecard?
A regular report of how a supplier performs against the standards you agreed: usually on-time delivery, quality and cost. An SLA scorecard focuses on time: how often the vendor met the turn time you expect.
What should a vendor scorecard include?
The measure, the benchmark, the result over a period, and the detail behind the result. Ops Insights adds the trend and a drilldown to every file that missed.
Do we have to enter anything?
No. Scorecards come from the dates your team already records in your system.
Does it work outside title?
Yes. Any workflow with two recorded points in time, in any SQL database, can be measured the same way.
