Get financial and transaction data into your accounting system
Your operational system knows every transaction. Your accounting system needs them in its own format. Many Ops Insights customers use it to extract accounting, financial and transactional data and reports, then import them straight into their accounting system.
How it works
- 1
Define the export
Tell us what accounting needs: the transactions, the columns and the codes. Our analysts write the report against your operational database. - 2
Match it to your books
The report maps your data to your accounting structure, for example matching revenue items to your accounting codes. - 3
Schedule it
The file arrives as Excel or CSV on the schedule accounting works to, ready to import or reconcile.
What customers export
Revenue by account code
Revenue items from each transaction, matched to the codes in your chart of accounts.Receivables
What's owed, by client, with the detail behind each balance.Disbursements
Payments made from each file or transaction, for reconciliation.Commissions
The data behind commission calculations, so they can be automated rather than rebuilt each period.
Questions about accounting data export
- Which accounting systems does it work with?
- Any system that imports Excel or CSV files. Tell us which one you use and we'll shape the export to its import format.
- Is this a reporting tool for our accounting data?
- It works the other way round. Ops Insights reads your operational system, such as your title production software, and prepares the data your accounting system needs.
- Who sees the exports?
- Access is by role. The Accounting Manager role, for example, gets the accounting reports; other roles don't see them unless you assign them.
- Can the same data feed a dashboard?
- Yes. Revenue and receivables reports can also be dashboard tiles and KPI alerts. Operational dashboards
